This technically isn't a "recipe" and it really isn't "taffy" either, but it is so charming I needed to include it here because it was in Grammy's recipe box after all. It is written in pencil in a childlike cursive handwriting I don't recognize. It could have been something one of Grammy's daughters brought home from school.
Ingredients:
- Maple syrup
- Snow [this ingredient means you can only make this in the winter in a place where it snows]
Instructions:
- Fill a bowl with snow
- Then pour maple syrup on it
- When syrup is frozen, pick up and eat it
